Getting Started
-
You can schedule online by clicking the button below or give us a call at 515-895-1400. We'd love to hear from you!
-
Just yourself! We'll send you a link to complete your new patient paperwork digitally before you arrive so we can hit the ground running.
-
Typically we say to plan for about 1 hour. Your first visit includes a consultation with Dr. Drew, a thorough exam, X-rays if needed, and your first adjustment. We want to make sure we understand your full health picture — not just your symptoms.
-
Anything you're comfortable in that allows movement. Everyday clothes are completely fine — you don't need to bring anything special.
-
Nope! You can schedule directly with us. No referral needed.
Your First Few Visits
-
You'll get a warm welcome and a quick tour of our space. Then you'll sit down with Dr. Drew for a consultation — he'll ask about your health history, current concerns, and your goals for care. From there, you'll have a thorough exam and X-rays if needed. While Dr. Drew reviews your results, our team will walk you through some gentle spinal prep exercises (like the wobble cushion or cervical traction) to get your spine ready. Then you'll receive your first adjustment before heading out.
-
Your second visit Dr. Drew will walk you through your exam findings and X-rays (if applicable), explain how we can best help you, as well as share his best recommendation for care moving forward. He'll also walk you through what care looks like financially — including payment plan options so you can commit to your health with an option that works best for you. This is also a great time to ask any questions you didn't think of the first time around.
Also, if your spouse or partner wants to be part of this conversation, we'd love to have them there, we actually encourage it. We often find it helpful for everyone when your spouse or partner is there to see your exam findings and care plan with you, and to ask any questions of their own.
-
This totally depends on each person—the state of your nervous system as a whole, the condition of your spine, your health history, and your goals. After your exam, Dr. Drew will give you a clear recommendation. Typically, most patients start with a more frequent corrective phase and then transition to less frequent maintenance or wellness visits.
-
Honestly, everyone is different. Some people notice changes after just a few adjustments. More complex cases can take longer. What we can promise is that we'll walk with you every step of the way — tracking your progress, celebrating milestones, and adjusting your care as needed. While we absolutely want you to feel better as soon as possible, our focus is on making sure your nervous system is communicating the way it should so your body can heal the way it was designed to.
Cost + Insurance
-
We are a cash-based, out-of-network practice — and that's an intentional choice. Being out of network means Dr. Drew's recommendations are based entirely on what your spine and nervous system need, not on what an insurance company will approve. In general, insurance is designed around sick care — it rarely covers the kind of proactive, corrective, and wellness-based care we provide. Going cash-based allows us to offer full transparency on pricing, create care plans that are truly personalized, and focus on long-term health outcomes rather than short-term symptom management. We do accept HSA and FSA cards, and we're happy to provide documentation if you'd like to submit for out-of-network reimbursement. As always, we welcome honest conversations about finances — don't hesitate to ask.
-
Through August 31, 2026, we're offering a New Patient Special: your first visit is only $67, and it includes your consultation, exam, any necessary X-rays, and your first adjustment.
To take advantage, just call our office at 515-895-1400 or schedule online through our scheduler.
Outside of this special, that same first visit is valued at $240, no hidden fees, no surprises.
-
Yes. Once Dr. Drew has a full picture of what your body needs, he'll build a personalized care plan with you at your second visit. As part of that plan, we offer a discounted rate per adjustment, plus additional savings based on how you'd like to pay: 5% off for biweekly payments, or 10% off if you prepay for your care in full. It's our way of rewarding your commitment to your health while making consistent care as accessible as possible.
The Adjustment
-
Most patients are surprised by how gentle our care is. Dr. Drew uses a variety of techniques — including the ArthroStim instrument — that are low-force and very comfortable. Some people feel mild soreness after their first couple of adjustments as their body adapts, similar to how muscles feel after a good workout. That typically passes quickly, and most patients leave feeling lighter and more relaxed.
-
Dr. Drew uses a combination of diversified adjusting as well as the ArthroStim instrument, along with supportive tools like the wobble cushion and cervical traction. He tailors his approach to each patient — your care is always specific to your spine and nervous system, not a one-size-fits-all routine.
-
Yes! And here's a fact that says it better than we ever could: chiropractors actually pay some of the lowest malpractice insurance rates of any healthcare provider. That's not a coincidence. It's a direct reflection of chiropractic's exceptional safety record. Dr. Drew will always review your health history and exam findings before recommending any type of care, and if something isn't the right fit, he'll tell you.
-
We never want anyone to feel pressured or trapped. Chiropractic care is always your choice! What we do believe — and have seen firsthand — is that ongoing care produces better long-term results. Just like staying active or eating well, caring for your spine and nervous system is most powerful as a lifestyle, not a one-time fix. For this reason, a majority of our patients choose to continue on with wellness care because they see the incredible benefits from consistent chiropractic care. That said, we also have patients who come in for a specific issue, get relief, and decide not to continue with a wellness plan — and we support that completely. We high-five them, thank them for letting us be part of their health journey, and make it clear we're always here if they need us. Our goal is always to empower you to make the best decisions for your own health.
Prenatal + Pediatric Care
-
Absolutely! Prenatal chiropractic care is gentle, safe, and incredibly supportive for a mom's changing body throughout pregnancy and postpartum. Dr. Drew is Webster Certified through the ICPA, which is a specific certification focused on chiropractic care during pregnancy. Many of our pregnant patients say their adjustments are one of the most comfortable parts of their week.
-
Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment designed to reduce stress on the pelvis and surrounding structures during pregnancy. It supports optimal pelvic alignment and nervous system function for both mom and baby. Dr. Drew is certified in Webster Technique through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA).
-
From day one, actually. In fact, Dr. Drew has adjusted babies within hours of birth! The birth process — even a smooth delivery — can place stress on an infant's spine and nervous system. Many families bring their babies in for a gentle check within the first few weeks of life. Pediatric adjustments are extremely light and tailored to each child's size and development.
-
The birth process — even the most natural, straightforward delivery — places significant stress on a newborn's spine and nervous system. Beyond birth, every tumble, fall, and milestone moment of childhood adds up. We see babies and young children for things like difficulty latching, colic, reflux, fussiness, ear infections, constipation, sleep issues, and developmental support — but also simply to make sure their nervous system is clear and communicating well as they grow.
Pediatric adjustments look nothing like adult adjustments. Adjusting a baby is more like checking the ripeness of a tomato — gentle fingertip pressure, no twisting, no cracking, no popping. It's so gentle that most babies sleep right through it.
And for the mamas who receive prenatal care with us — we offer a complimentary visit after delivery, either in our office or in the comfort of your home, for both mom and baby. It's our way of honoring that transition and making sure both of you get the support you need right from the start.
-
Many parents bring their babies to us for exactly that reason! Colic itself isn't something we diagnose, but we look closely at the nervous system and spine for any tension or interference that might be contributing to discomfort, digestive issues, or difficulty settling. A lot of families notice meaningful changes after just a few visits.
Our Philosophy
-
Your nervous system — your brain, spinal cord, and nerves — controls every function in your body. When your spine is misaligned and your system is under stress, it creates interference in that communication pathway. Our care focuses on correcting those misalignments, reducing the stress on the body, so your nervous system can do its job without interference. We're not just focused on pain relief — we're focused on helping your body function the way it was designed to.
-
Corrective care is the initial, more intensive phase focused on addressing existing spinal problems and restoring proper alignment. Wellness care is what comes after — regular adjustments to maintain your spine, support your nervous system, and prevent issues from coming back. Think of it like the difference between rehabbing an injury and staying consistent at the gym so you don't get hurt again.
-
Yes! This is one of the most important things we share with our patients. Pain is often the last symptom to show up and the first to go away, but that doesn't mean the underlying issue is resolved. Many people have significant stress without feeling it yet. Getting checked is about being proactive with your health, not just reacting when something hurts.
-
Being a cash-based practice allows us to make decisions based entirely on what's best for you — not what an insurance company will approve. It means Dr. Drew can recommend the care he actually believes in, your plan is built around your needs, and you'll always know exactly what you're paying. We think that's a better model for real, lasting health — and honestly, our patients do too.
